[Ushio and Tora Story]
Ushio Aotsuki, a middle school boy, lives with his father, who is the chief priest of a temple. One day, he encounters something incredible in the basement of a storehouse in his home. It was a great youkai that was feared by the people as a vicious monster long ago and had been sealed for 500 years by the "Beast Spear"! Ushio, who pulled out the spear, is about to be eaten by the youkai, but at the same time, he transforms by the power of the "Beast Spear" that has awakened from its slumber, and quickly defeats the other youkai that swarmed the youkai. The great youkai, who was forced to cooperate out of fear of the spear's power, is named "Tora" by Ushio, and they begin to act together.
Thus, the "Ushitora" duo was born: a boy who became the inheritor of the "Beast Spear" and a great youkai who aims to eat him someday. And as they defeat the youkai that come at them one after another, they are drawn into a grand battle that will determine the fate of the world...
